Abstract

An effort to improve the learning outcomes of physics in the learning process in junior high school is by applying the training pattern of education, including providing motivation to students. Repeating lessons (Remedial Teaching). Measuring student learning outcomes between what is taught by educating patterns and ordinary pattern patterns. This research hypothesis the writer formulates the application of training patterns to educate physics smart children to improve physics learning achievement. The population in this study were all students in grade 1 of SMP Negeri 1 Langsa academic year 2017/2018. numbering 162 people. Samples were taken in 2 random sampling classes from the entire population, a sample of 82 people. Data collection techniques used the "Experiment" method, where class I3 was the experimental class and class I1 was the control class. The results of data processing can be concluded that by using educating patterns, students will be smart in physics lessons at SMP Negeri 1 Langsa in the academic year 2017/2018

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan generik sains siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri dan pembelajaran konvensional. (2) Mengetahui keterampilan generik sains antara siswa yang mempunyai kreativitas tinggi dan siswa yang mempunyai kreativitas rendah. (3) Mengetahui interaksi antara model pembelajaran inkuiri dengan kreativitas terhadap keterampilan generik sains siswa pada materi alat alat optik. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X semester II SMA Negeri 1 Peukan Pidie T.A. 2013/2014 sebanyak 5 kelas (152 orang). Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 2 kelas yaitu kelas X-1 (kelas Eksperimen) dan kelas X-4 (kelas kontrol) yang ambil secara cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupas tes keterampilan generik sains dan tes kreativitas. Data dianalisis menggunakan SPSS 17, hasil pengujian hipotesis ANAVA 2 jalur sebagai berikut: (1) Model pembelajaran Inkuri lebih baik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan generik sains siswa dari pada pembelajaran konvensional. (2) Keterampilan generik sains siswa yang mempunyai kreativitas tinggi lebih baik dibanding dengan siswa yang mempunyai kreativitas rendah. (3) Ada interaksi antara model pembelajaran Inkuiri dengan pembelajaran konvemsional dan kreativitas terhadap keterampilan generik sains siswa.

Abstract

The measure  of success in education is not only assesed on the cognitive side, but also on the character side. Every students must have characters that adheres to the noble values of Indonesia. This  research aims to know applied Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by computer simulation with the increase of students character. This research used quasi experiment methode. The subject of this research involved three groups with each experimental group-1 that applying PBL assisted by computer simulation, the experimental group-2 applying PBL and the control group applying conventional models. The instrument of this study was a obeservation sheets and a questionnairies that measured student’s character.  The character aspects that measured in this research were self-convidence, curiosity, planned, initiative, integrity, perseverance, problem solving, and teamwork. The character’s data analyzed with gain Test (N-gain). The increase percentage of N-gain of student’s character in experiment group 1 and experiment group 2 were 34% and 32%  and respectively in medium category, but in control group, the increase was 12% , in the low category. The highest percentage increase in character of the experimental group 1 and experiment group 2 is the curiosity and the highest percentage increase in character of the control grou percentage increase in character of the is perseverance. Based on the results of the test, the application of pbl assisted by computer simulation is effective in improving student characters.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbedaanketerampilanpemecahan masalah fisika siswa pada model pembelajaran problem basedlearning dan pembelajarankonvensional, perbedaan keterampilan pemecahan masalah fisika siswa antara siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir diatas rata-rata dan siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis di bawahrata-rata, serta interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam mempengaruhi keterampilan pemecahan masalah fisika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling sebanyak dua kelas,dimana kelas pertama diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran berbasismasalah dan kelas kedua dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumenyang digunakan terdiri dari tes keterampilan pemecahan masalah dan teskemampuan berpikir kritis. Data dalam penelitian ini dianalisis denganmenggunakan anava dua jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwaketerampilan pemecahan masalah fisika siswa yang menggunakan modelpembelajaran berbasis masalah lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional, keterampilan pemecahan masalah fisika siswa dengankemampuan berpikir kritis di atas rata-rata  menunjukkan perbedaan danhasil yang lebih baik dari pada siswa dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis dibawah rata-rata, serta terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran berbasismasalah dan kemampuan berpikir kritis dalam mempengaruhi keterampilanpemecahan masalah fisika siswa.Kata kunci: model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, kemampuan berpikir kritis, keterampilan pemecahan masalah

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the improvement of student’s concept understanding on Newton's Law with the implementation of POE learning model. This research type is quantitative and using pre-experiment method with one group pre-test post-test design. In this study, the measurements in the form of pre-test to the subject and then treated with the POE learning model and within a certain time post-test is given. The population in this research is all students of class VIII in SMP 5 Singkawang city. The sample of the research is the students of class VIII E which amounted to 20 people and the sampling technique using purposive sampling. The result of data analysis using N-gain equation shows improvement of student’s concept understanding by 0,64 with medium category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap hasil belajar Fisika siswa pada materi pokok gerak lurus di kelas X SMA SWASTA UISU Medan T.P 2010/2011. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas X semester I SMA Swasta UISU yang terdiri dari 4 kelas. Sampel penelitian diambil 2 kelas yang ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling, yaitu Kelas X-3 sebagai kelas eksperimen denganmenggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD dan kelas X-1 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t diperoleh thitung = 3,138 > ttabel = 1,667 sehingga diperoleh kesimpulan ada pengaruh yang signifikan pada penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STADterhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok gerak lurus di kelas X SMA Swasta UISU.

Abstract

This study aims: 1) to determine differences in science process skills of students with learning model inquiry training and conventional learning models, 2) to determine the difference science process skills of students who have high creativity and creativity is low, 3) to determine the interaction model of learning inquiry trainingwith creativity of the science process skills. The sampling technique conducted cluster random sampling two classes, where first class as a class experiment with the number of students 32 people applied learning model inquiry training (X-1) and the second class as a class control the number of students 32 people who applied conventional learning model ( X-2). Instruments in this study is the science process skills test and a test of creativity in the form of a description. From these results it can be concluded that: 1) science process skills of students that learned with a learning model inquiry training is better than the students that learned with conventional learning models, 2)science process skills of students with high creativity better than students with creativity is low, 3) there is interaction between inquirylearning model training and creativity in influencing the science process skills of students.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the relationship between creativity and cognitive learning outcomes through the use of The ICARE Practice Based on Worksheet. This type of research is experimental research. The subjects of this study were 34 students who took high school physics courses in Physics Education Study Program majoring in physics, mathematics and natural sciences faculty, Medan State University. Data on student creativity was taken through the 3 item test validation test instrument that has been validated. Cognitive learning outcome data obtained through multiple-choice test instruments as many as 25 items that have been validated. The data analysis technique used is multiple regression. The results of the analysis for the coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.472 indicate that 47.20% of learning outcomes are influenced by science process skills and creativity.

Abstract

The purposes of the research are to determine the differences between learning outcomes physics students with cooperative learning model based Collaborative Group Investigation and learning model of Direct Instruction; The difference in results between the groups studied physics scientific attitude is low and the high; Interaction between learning model with the level of scientific attitude of students in influencing student learning outcomes. The sampling technique in this study conducted in cluster random sampling of two classes, where first class as a class experiment applied cooperative learning model Group Investigation and second class as a class of control applied learning model of Direct Instruction. The instruments used in this research achievement test physics in the form of descriptions of 10 questions and instrument scientific attitude questionnaire with 22 questions that have been declared valid and reliable. From the results of this study concluded that there are differences in learning outcomes physics students with cooperative learning model Group Investigation based collaborative learning and model direct instruction learning, this means that learning outcomes of students who learned with group investigation model of learning is better than learning model of direct instruction. There are differences between groups of low scientific attitude and high scientific attitude; this means that the learning outcomes of students who have high scientific attitude is better than learning outcomes of students who have low scientific attitude. There is interaction between learning models with the level of scientific attitude of students in influencing student learning outcomes; this means that the model of good cooperative group investigation applied to students who have a high scientific attitude.

Abstract

Abstract.This research aims to determine the effect of problem based learning to the results of class X student second semester in the subject matter of temperature and heat in state high school 1 Hamparan Perak T.P.2016/2017. This type of research is quasi experiment. The study population was all class X state high school 1 Hamparan Perak. Samples were taken at random cluster sampling technique, which is a class X MIA 5 as the experimental class using problem-based learning model, and class X MIA 4 as the control class using direct learning model. The research instrument is as much as 7 about the test description. Data were analyzed using t-test two parties and one party t test. Results showed the average value pretest experimental classes and control classes are 30,08 and 29,94. The average value for both classes postes 75,34 and 66,86. Both classes have a variation in normal distribution and homogeneous. The test results test two parties obtained t <t table (0,12 <1,99) demonstrated the ability of the same early in the second grade. The test results of the t test obtained t> t table (3,48> 1,66) showed no significant effect of problem based learning to the results of class X student second semester in the subject matter of temperature and heat in state high school 1 Hamparan Perak T.P.2016/2017.
