Abstract

AbstractThe research wanted to design an instructional medium to teach and learn Arabic, and it is called “structure circle”. The aim of this research is to know the effectiveness of using the medium “structure circle” to upgrade the reading skill and the research problem “how effective the using of structure circle to upgrade the reading skill of first grade students of Hidayatul Mubtadi’in junior high school of Malang. This research problem is divided into four research problems, i.e. 1) how does the design of structure circle complete? 2) How is the effectiveness of using the structure circle to upgrade students’ competence in loudly reading? 3) How is the effectiveness of using the structure circle to upgrade text understanding?The approach of this research is qualitative quantitative research. Its independent variable is using the structure circle in Arabic teaching and the dependent variable of it is students’ competence in reading skill. The researcher uses one group method and chooses the population all first grade students of Hidayatul Mubtadi’in junior high school of Malang in academic year 2009/2010 and the sample 20 students of them. The data collection instruments used in this research are observation, interview, questionnaire, and tests.Research findings show that (1) the design of the instructional medium reaches very good point from the experts of Arabic teaching and instructional media; (2) it is very effective to improve the students’ competence in loudly reading by the evidence that the t-value 10,40 is more than the t-table values; (3) it is very effective to increase the text understanding ability for the t-value 3,21 is more than the t-table values.

Abstract

Bahasa arab merupakan salah satu bahasa dunia, dimana ia tidak hanya sebagai alat untuk memahami sumber-sumber agama, lebih dari itu bahasa arab digunakan sebagai alat komunikasi internasional. Jika tujuan pembelajaran menjadikan bahsa sebagai alat komunikasi, maka pembelajaran bahasa haruslah utuh dengan berbagai pendekatan, metode dan strategi. Pembelajaran bahasa harus mencakup seluruh kemampuan berbahasa yaitu menyimak, membaca, berbicara dan menulis.Pembelajaran tidak hanya fokus kepada Qawaid dan terjemah saja.  Jika pembelajaran bahasa hanya fokus pada salah satu maharahatau unsur saja maka hasil yang didapat pastilah maksimal. Labolatorium bahahasa sebagai salah satu sarana dalam mengajarkan bahasa dari seluruh aspek maharah-nya, sangatlah mendukung untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbahasa peserta didik. Abstract

AbstrakThis research reveals about Istima 'learning with Total Pisikal Response (TPR) method, studied theoretically and practically especially in istima' learning. This study uses literature study, to reveal the theoretical and practice in learning istima 'by TPR method. Istima Learning 'is the main scholar of Arabic language learning, where Arabic speaking for non Arabic speakers should begin with istima'. The learning of istima 'can be done by using various methods of learning, such as Total Psychical Response method, this method is very suitable for learning mahima istima' because the teacher can know the students 'vocabulary mastery and comprehension istima' and the training to students to do things that are governed by Teachers correctly. Abstract

The Modern Islamic Boarding School Darussalam Gontor of the girls 2nd second campus, in conducting the Arabic learning establishes a special section, the center for language improvement, to build a language system and conduct linguistic activities in this boarding school.  The problem the class one faces is difficulty to understand Arabic speaking and lack of knowledge of language, so that it’s considered that the center plays an important role. This research takes the descriptive qualitative approach with three methods: observation, interviews and written documents. The result shows that the center has various duties such as to organize Arabic speaking courses, language competitions, language games and so on. This research finds that there are still some shortcomings  the center has performed. From this study it’s advised that it should make more various programs that make the foreign language easier for the students to learn as well as give them more advices, motivation and guidance

Abstract

The word Taliban has been used by the public and is widely known as the name of the faction of the armed political movement in Afghanistan. However, in the past some time, the term Taliban is often used as a name for a group within the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). This raises different meanings and different perceptions. This study aims to analyze how the word Taliban is understood and used in the KPK, how the shape shifts in meaning, and how the construction process patterns. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach with data taken from literature and it is enriched with interview and questionnaire data. This study found that the development of meaning was unpredictable but found conclusions in synchronic phenomena when there was a large and open use of words. The common conception and common understanding on the word "Taliban” is doubtful because it can be broadly constructed. The semantic fields used are nouns and adjectives with various meanings. Meaning is constructed from individual perspectives, social and cultural contexts, the it is continued to mutual understanding and natural agreement. Peryoration and amelioration types were the most noticeable patterns of change. However, the positive-positive meaning is also a different pattern found in shifting the meaning of the Taliban in the KPK.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap kesalahan-kesalahan yang seringkali terjadi dalam penulisan huruf-huruf Arab oleh mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa Arab (PBA) IAIN Salatiga dan langkah-langkah strategis untuk memperbaikinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan observasi sebagai instrumen utamanya untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis data dari sample yang diambil. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa PBA semester 1, sedangkan sample diambil secara acak sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Ada 10 sample hasil tulisan mahasiswa yang dikaji, dideskripsikan lalu dianalisis. Setelah itu dilakukakan identifikasi dan klasifikasi kesalahan penulisanyang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya kesalahan-kesalahan penulisan huruf Arab dalam bentuknya dan lemahnya kemampuan meletakkan huruf pada posisinya secara umum. Selain itu, terdapat kesalahan dalam memberikan jarak baik antar huruf maupun antar kata. Sebagian ungkapan dan huruf tidak bisa terbaca dengan sempurna. Terdapat ketidak konsistenan bentuk penulisan huruf terhadap garis, baik huruf yang berada di atas garis maupun di bawahnya.Kata kunci: kesalahan-kesalahan umum, penulisan, kaligrafi, huruf Arab

Abstract

The phenomenon of differences in Qur’anic reading based on seven qira’ah is one of the internalising factors of the Quraa Ulama with geographical backgrounds and languages diversity which are generated in a unified sociolinguistic discipline. The diversity in qira’ah raises its own problems and attracts observers of Arabic who criticize each other. One of them is in the aspect of reading variety of Surah Al-fatihah. This study aims to analyze and describe the views of the previous Al-Lughah Ulama on the differences in qira’ah sab'ah in Surah Al-Fathihah. In its implementation, the researcher used qualitative approach with content analysis, while the data collection techniques were carried out through primary data sources related to qira'ah sab'ah and Sociolinguistics. The results showed that the formation of two rational views of Ulama Al-lughah; manhaj Mutasahhil (tolerant) and manhaj Mutasyaddid (extreme) in response to the variety in reading of qira’ah sab'ah in Surah Alfathihah found on the fourth, sixth, and seventh verses. But Manhaj Mutasyddid put more emphasis on the seventh verse (إهدنا الصراط المستقيم) with the letter "Shad" as a language that is covenient and fusha compared to reading with the letter "Sa".

ومن الملامح المميزة للغة هي: الطبيعة الصوتية للغة والطبيعة الاجتماعية للغة و هي متغيرة ومكتسبة و نسق. فمن سمات الصفات المتغيرة للغة هي تقبل التحويل المولد على معنى جديد.هذا التغير ليس يحدث بنفسه ولكن بعوامل مهمة منها المجتمع وتنمية العلم والأعلام حتى تتطور معرفة الإنسان وعلمه ومن ثم يكون ثقافته وحضارته متقدمتين في هذا العالم. ويهمني أن أتكلم عن المتلازمات اللفظية في تعريفها وأنواعها وتكوينها لأنها تأثير من ذلك التغير. وأهم هذا الحديث أنها وحدة لغوية اسمية أو فعلية، مكونة من كلمتين أو أكثر من ارتباطها ينشأ معنى جديد يختلف كليا.الكلمات الرئيسية: المتلازمات اللفظية، و التعابير، و تراكيب الجمل

Abstract

Research problem is the first thing to be found by researcher. Then, he should limit it clearly so that it can be easy to be understood. At this step, the researcher needs special formula to write the problems statement in the form of research questions which the answers of them are the research goals.  Writing good research question formulation will provide convenience for researchers in conducting research process. Abstract

The Arabic terms usage problems in Islamic Movement Community are interested to be explored by the researchers because the linguistic situation in Islamic Movement Community is enough unique if it is compared with the linguistic situation in another social community. It is necessary to be explored by deep doing about the linguistic behavior that is related to registers and speech acts, the linguistic interaction patterns in what context, to whom, when, what for and where, which them to be done by spoken. The main problems in this study are register and speech act in Arabic terms applied in Islamic Movement Community and their motivation in employing Arabic terms in doing communication in Islamic Movement Community. There were some registers and speech acts in Arabic terms applied in Islamic Movement Community found as follows: locution speech act, illocution speech act, representative speech act, comissive speech act, directive speech act. Expressive and declarative speech act were not found in their speech act. To get data about their motivation and Arabic terms applied context in doing communication in Islamic Movement Community used questionnaire. There were 150 questionnaires given to respondents and 95 questionnaire that could be taken.
